Bendix rebores the crankcase and matches the piston to maintain OE clearances each time a compressor is remanufactured. By not maintaining the OE piston to crankcase clearances, non-genuine compressors may cause a higher volume of oil passing, increasing the risk of downstream contamination and component failure.
